PIM received two students from the University of Borås, Sweden, who have joined the Exchange Program. This marks the third batch of students from Borås to participate in the program during the Spring Semester from January to June 2023, with a focus on developing their skills through a six-month combination of study and internship.
Mr. Liam Bodin and Mr. Noel Skoglund, the exchange students from the University of Borås, have been actively engaged with us for the past four months, studying in the International Modern Trade Management (iMTM) program with International College. Through their participation, they have gained invaluable insights into the Thai business landscape through various subjects such as New Product Development & Category Management, Legal Aspects of Modern Trade & e-Commerce, and Big Data Analytics for Consumer Behavior.
The exchange program has provided Mr. Laim and Mr. Noel with more than just classroom learning. They have had the opportunity to participate in the volunteer program with the CONNEXTED project in Suphanburi province. Engaging with elementary students and local community members, they joyfully took part in activities such as cooking traditional Thai desserts, creating Krathong for the Floating Krathong festival, and painting. These activities not only deepened their understanding of Thai culture but also facilitated an exchange of Swedish culture with their Thai students.
Moreover, both exchange students expressed their satisfaction with the internship opportunity offered by the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, where they interned as “Marketing and Event Coordinators” for two months. They actively supported the organization in organizing, coordinating, and promoting projects and events. They also actively participated in various activities organized by SweCham during their internship as well.
As their exchange experience with PIM and intern with Swecham ended, we truly believe that Mr. Liam and Mr. Noel will leave Thailand with a wealth of knowledge and experiences that will shape their personal and professional growth in the future.
